Dear participants and partners of VIRTUAL RISK 2020!
Let us first express our deepest gratitude for supporting our efforts to share knowledge and new technologies in the Adriatic region. Being in a situation where we were not able to organise a live event, we pushed our team to the limits by developing our own conference platform and organising a combination of TV studio stream, online presentations, virtual booths, online fun with poker game and even the virtual auction. The team behind this extraordinary experience, David, Žan, Mirjeta, Uroš, Aljaž and Alen gave their 150%.
RISK visitors and partners have now enjoyed our 15th annual conference and despite being the first VIRTUAL RISK conference, the event is getting great reviews. Many of them say that it was the best virtual event seen in recent months and that we prepared an experience that will not be forgotten soon. Although we thought it will be almost impossible to reach the positive experience of the live event, the feedbacks show that apparently we did it.
If we take a look at the statistics, we even reached more interaction with the community then on the live event, which is incredible. In total we have been hosting more than 800 visitors. Conference partners have prepared more than 30 presentations and workshops and 24 virtual booths. On average at the same time around 400 people watched stream 1 and over 100 people stream 2 which is much more than the live event where people are regularly spending more time in front of the conference halls to mingle. But still at the same time visitors participated in all areas, including virtual booths, where they filled out almost 3000 surveys. Also exhibitors were very active, generating great networking opportunities for everybody.
We are very glad that we have got support from NBA player Luka Dončić and the winner of La Vuelta 2020 Bike Tour and second place on Tour de France 2020, Primož Roglič.With their help and help from many other sponsors that donated items for auction we raised 7.500 EUR for charity.
On behalf of the Organizational Committee and Board of Directors, we want to extend a heart-felt thank you for your commitment to making this event so successful. It was our vision to inform, educate, and provide a networking forum for all our guests from the pleasant, comfortable environment of their homes and also your contribution helped make our vision a reality.
